Witnesses to Assualt with a Deadly Weapon Sought

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at approximately 2:00 AM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the Matador Cantina, 111 N. Harbor Blvd, regarding a fight that occurred outside of the bar resulting in a male that appeared to be injured and “down” near Harbor Blvd.

Officers located the adult male victim on the ground, east of Matador Cantina near Harbor Blvd. At the time officers arrived, the victim was responsive and speaking. The victim appeared to have a minor head injury. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment the injuries he sustained in what appeared to be an assault.

Officers later located two additional victims with minor injuries. The two additional victims provided descriptions of four suspects that had assaulted the three victims.

At approximately 7:00 am this morning, Fullerton PD was notified (by the receiving hospital) that the victim who had been transported with what was thought to be a minor a head injury from the assault near 111 N. Harbor Blvd had resulted in a massive brain injury. The hospital told investigators that the victim was in serious condition.

Fullerton PD Detectives immediately began investigating the incident as an assault with a deadly weapon. As of approximately 8 PM tonight, all four suspects are in custody for assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury. Because this investigation is on-going, no suspect information, nor booking photos, will be released at this time.

This incident occurred at bar closing time in busy Downtown Fullerton, and Detectives believe numerous individuals may have witnessed this incident occur.
