15-year-old struck by Vehicle, in Critical Condition

On Friday, June 29, 2018 at approximately 1:03 AM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the 900 block of N. Placentia Ave regarding reports of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male with significant, life threatening injuries lying in the number two lane of southbound Placentia Ave. Fullerton Fire ,as well as OCFA, responded and immediately began providing life-saving measures to the male. He was transported to a local tr...auma center where he is listed in critical condition.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a black 2017 Nissan Sentra, driven by a 45-year-old female, was travelling southbound on Placentia Ave just north of Nutwood Ave when it struck the 15-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing eastbound across Placentia Ave.
The 15-year-old male victim was not crossing in a crosswalk at the time he was struck.

The 45-year-old driver remained at the scene and she is cooperating with Investigators. At this time, it does not appear that alcohol and/or drugs are a factor in the collision.
