Troy High School Coach Arrested

On Friday, December 1st, 2017 at approximately 9:00 AM, Fullerton Police School Resource Officers responded to Troy High School after being alerted by Troy High School Administration of a possible inappropriate relationship between one of the school’s walk-on (part-time) Wrestling coaches and a female student.

Further investigation revealed earlier that morning, a Troy High School employee had witnessed a walk-on Wrestling Coach, Garrett Granger, with a 16-year-old female Tro...y High School student in an area of Campus that seemed inappropriate for them to be in together at that time. The employee reported it to School Administration, and they immediately began to investigate, which included contacting the Fullerton Police Department.

After a thorough investigation, School Resource Officers determined that Granger had engaged in a sexual relationship with the female student within the last few weeks.

Granger (20, Fullerton) was placed under arrest for various sex crimes. He was booked into the Fullerton City Jail.

This is an excellent example of someone reporting an incident to the authorities that didn’t seem right. The Fullerton Police Department reminds you that if you “see something, say something.” We are all responsible for keeping our community safe.

Anyone with information regarding Granger and this investigation is urged to contact Fullerton Police Family Crimes Detective L. Garcia at (714) 738-6358. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can call the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1(855) TIP-OCCS or they can visit their website at www.p3tips.com.
