FPD Arrest Suspect for lewd acts with a 13-year-old, Police believe there may be other victims
On Saturday, June 3rd, 2017, Fullerton Police Detectives completed a 2-month long investigation into allegations that a 26-year-old male, later identified as Vincent John Conti (26, North Hollywood), was having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl from Fullerton that he had met online.
On March 30th , 2017, Fullerton Police Detectives learned that Conti may have been soliciting a sexual relationship with the female using an undisclosed, but commonly used, social media site. After a thorough investigation, Detectives confirmed Conti was in fact engaged in sexual relationship with the 13-year-old and they arranged to have Conti meet the victim today at a prearranged location.
When Conti arrived to meet to the victim, he was confronted by police and he fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Conti was arrested by FPD patrol officers and plain clothes Detectives in a nearby flood control channel without further incident.
This investigation is still on-going.
Detectives believe that there may be other underage victims that have had sexual relationships with Conti and we encourage those victims to come forward. Anyone with information on other possible victims, and anyone who may have more information regarding Conti’s illicit activities, is asked to contact Fullerton Police Detective L. Garcia at (714) 738-6358 or Sergeant J. Ema at (714) 738-6580. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can do so by calling Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS, or by visiting their website at www.occrimestoppers.org.
