Fullerton Police Searching for Burglary Suspect

Fullerton police on hunt for burglary suspects

Fullerton police are searching for a suspect believed to be involved in two residential burglaries in the northeast area of town on Tuesday evening.

Police officers first received a report of a burglary in progress in the 2800 block of Ashberry Court at approximately 9:15 p.m., where the female resident encountered a male inside of her son’s bedroom. The suspect was wearing dark colored clothing and had a ski mask covering his face. The suspect ran past the victim and her child and fled the residence by way of the living room. The suspect was able to get away with the contents of the victims purse and cash.

Police say the man removed a window screen and entered the house through an unlocked window.

While officers were investigating that burglary, they learned that another had occurred on that same street; in this case the suspect is believed to have entered the house through an unlocked bedroom door on the second story balcony. The house was ransacked; however, the loss is unknown at this time.

A neighbor in the 2800 block of Ashberry Court checked his surveillance cameras and found images of a male trespassing on his property and running through his backyard close to 9:00 p.m.

In all three cases, the burglar is described as a male wearing dark clothing and a mask or hooded sweatshirt covering his face.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Fullerton Police Department at (714) 738-6821. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can call the Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1(855) TIP-OCCS or to their website at www.crimestoppers.org.
